After finishing his residency and private practice in Saint Louis, MO, Dr. Chowdhury decided to make his home here in Chicago. A former faculty and Clinical Professor at Southern Illinois University, School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Chowdhury continues to help serve as a mentor and teaches at Midwestern University Dental School as a clinical instructor.
He is also an esteemed Fellow of the International congress of Oral Implantology, an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant dentistry and Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Chowdhury believes in full patient-oriented dental care treated with patient empowered decisions. Patient empowerment does not only encompass the ability of the patient to make decisions on their own dental care, it also encompasses their education on the topic. Patient dental education is essential in treating patients.
Educating patients on their own dental concerns and needs can lead to better results and help the overall outcome of care. Giving patients the autonomy to choose what treatment plan best fits their needs and financial limitations lessens the risk of unforeseen and unplanned circumstances.
